All are welcome and encouraged to join us. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Christians are encouraged by the apostle Paul to pray without ceasing. Do others know they can count on you to be there for them 396 (24/7/365)? Devote yourself to a season of prayer and ask God to give you a heart of prayer for others. Not only will you be a HUGE blessing to others, but you’ll grow immensely in your personal relationship with Jesus. Questions? Contact Pastor Brian McClure at Brian.McClure@4Cs.Church or x126.
We occasionally get questions about why we call our Wednesday night prayer time “Pray 396.” In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22, Paul said, “Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.” So, if we are going to pray “without ceasing,” then 365 days plus 24 hours a day plus 7 days a week equals 396. Pastor Brian refers to our corporate prayer time as the “engine room” because this is where God’s power flows through His people’s prayers.
Prayer is the foundation of our relationship with God. We are called to prayer corporately over the needs of people in the church and the community. Pray 396 on Wednesday evenings is the opportunity for that type of prayer. At Pray 396 we pray over the prayer requests, worship in song and spend time praying in small groups. We are blessed to hear a testimony from someone periodically. You are encouraged to join this important time at 4Cs as often as you can.
